Amara Pond or Amara Lake from Buzau County is a natural lake in the Ramnic Plain located near the town with the same name. It hosts some important number of species of birds that are protected and serves as wintering place for pond birds and resting place during migration. It is part of Group firths of Buzau River -mezoeutrofic category, with fishery purposes and its saline and brackish water have a high preservation value.
